September 5th, 2008:

Gearing up for the 1 year anniversary!

On the 28th of this month, The Absinthe Review Network will be celebrating one year of service to the absinthe community!  There will be a little something for everyone; multiple reviews (complete with a gimmicky theme!), announcements on what's to come, another absinthe artist to introduce, and a brand new author of the Amateur to Absintheur series (and she's good, trust us)!

But for now, a review of the very red Kallnacher Red, our first absinthe cocktail review.  Will TARN have a dozen servings or pour it down the drain?  Also, check out the insane photography skills of Christopher Oliver in this close-up shot of an amazing louche! Photo of the Month

As a final order of business, in honour of La Clandestine 53 (arguably the tastiest la bleu absinthe ever) arriving in America this month, www.laclandestine.com is now live and packed with information on the herbs used, where to buy, and photos to drool over.

August 7th, 2008:

Wine, anyone?

Our latest review is the first grape-alcohol based absinthe we have reviewed.  How much of a difference will it make in TARN's review of Blanche de Fougerolles?  And while you're (hopefully) still in the absinthe mood, click on over to the gallery and check the latest Picture of the Month.

We also have a new absinthe artist affiliate, Nathalie Winans.  She contacted me recently regarding her newfound passion for absinthe and after seeing her stunning portfolio,  I knew she would make an excellent addition to our list of supported artists.  She has also mentioned that she plans a piece with some relation to absinthe in the future.  We'll be waiting eagerly.

July 16th, 2008:

Absinthe Arsenal: Reloaded

It's been a little slow the past month or so (hence the filler non-absinthe reviews), but breathe a sigh of relief, because TARN has just received over a dozen new brands.  Look for our first absinthe cocktail review in the near future along with reviews of more mainstream favourites than ever.

But for the time being you'll just have to be content with a review of Absente, seven new photos for the gallery, including the Photo of the Month for July, and an article detailing the massive popularity surge from absinthe in the US.
